![]() Yesterday I completed the cancer treatment protocol I started last October. Six rounds of TCHP chemotherapy supported by a Fasting Mimicking Diet, lots of supplements, lots of family, friend, and community thoughts and prayers. Bilateral mastectomy to Aesthetic Flat Closure. Twenty-five rounds of Radiation Therapy. And Eleven infusions of HP immunotherapy. It was a lot, but honestly, it wasn't nearly as bad as I had feared. Cancer treatment has improved significantly in the years since I was in training and somehow I wasn't really aware of that. The treatments I received have been tolerable and effective. I have returned to a full schedule in my office and feel even more excited about that healing work. I am in the gym and more muscular and fit than I have been since high school. I am really loving my yoga, which shows me where I am improving in flexibility and strength and where I can grow even more. I have begun the celebration, which I intend to continue for at least a year. I want to make art: baskets, wreaths, knitted socks and slippers, felted hats, gardens, planters, mosaics and writing are on my list. I hope what will come out of that process is more ideas of things to create and even more enthusiasm for creating.
